Hello. I am trying to locate where in Bohemia my ancestors came from. The most I have is that my great great grand father, Vincene Uher and his wife Anna (Vithaus) Uher, left Bohemia in 1875 and came to the United States. They traveled with their daughter Mary who was about 3 years old. Their son, Joseph did not leave Bohemia until 1878 when he was 18 years old and then came to the United States. Any Suggestions on where I can find information? Both Vincene and Anna were born in 1838. Thank you.

It's passenger record of Josef Uher from Lanžhot, who emigrated to US in 1911. He was 18, so he was born approximately in 1893. I know you've written, he has left Bohemia earlier, but I wasn't able to find any other person named like this, who has left before.

There are two people named Josef Uher born in 1893 in Lanžhot. The first one is son of Matěj Uher and Marie Trubačová and you can find in there: http://actapublica.eu/matriky/brno/proh ... strana=139 . The second one is son of Antonín Uher and Marie Ciprysová, but he has died in 1895, so it's not him. The record is here: http://actapublica.eu/matriky/brno/proh ... strana=140 . Maybe you can try to read through the whole book, because age on the passenger records was only approximate very often.

I haven't found any Josef Uher born in 1860. I've found some people named Marie (Mary) Uher born in 1872, but they all had other parents.
